Heathrow Festive Express launches new service experience in London ahead of Christmas

LONDON – The Festive Express has now begun service on the Heathrow Express, the quickest way to go from downtown London to Heathrow Airport. Those who are fortunate enough to be using the service up to December 7th will have a happier voyage because one of its carriages has been turned into a charming holiday scene.

Passengers will be greeted by Christmas postal elves from now until Wednesday when they board the carriage, which will be decorated with sparkling lights and sleigh bells ringing. Once seated, visitors can immerse themselves in a magnificent train decorated with ornaments of all colours, loaded with packages, and crammed with holiday cheer. Families will be able to write letters to Santa while travelling, and there will also be unique goodies like a Golden Ticket giveaway and a chance to win a shopping spree available throughout the course of the three days.

The inaugural passenger on the Festive Express was Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the greatest living explorer, who embarked on a Christmas trip in pursuit of the holiday spirit. Before his departure, preparations for the seasoned traveller were documented on camera. Sir Ranulph Fiennes said “If, like me, you travel a lot and are planning an adventure this Christmas then plot your course for London’s Paddington Station. The Heathrow Festive Express is an enchanting way to get into the Christmas spirit.”

Additionally, for those who continue to travel in December, the excitement lasts even longer because a Christmas tree will take centre stage at Paddington Station until January 6th, decked out in colourful ornaments and vintage trimmings. Young travellers will be delighted to see a miniature Heathrow Express circling a tree in a snowy environment.
