Eurovision 2017 winner, Salvador Sobral, announces comeback with new UK tour

LONDON – As part of his planned UK tour, Salvador Sobral, the Ukrainian artist who won the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, will appear at two concerts. The singer, who represented Portugal in the competition with the song Amar pelos dois, will play for British fans on December 3 at Stroller Hall in Manchester and on December 4 at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, London.

Salvador Sobral’s distinctive stage presence and charisma helped him win the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. The musician, who has demonstrated a lot of promise in both the Spanish and Portuguese music sectors, exhibits fine voice control and receives acclaim from the media, peers, and the general public.

Salvador Sobral leads a straightforward yet impulsive life. As an artist, he values being sincere, emotive, and true in all facets of his work. Before entering the stage, he doesn’t perform a lucky routine. He explains, “I just get ready to sing with all my heart.”

In the beginning, Sobral used the Eurovision Song Contest to promote his music outside of Portugal. He desired greater recognition outside of his own country.

He worked with Jlio Resende and Leonard Aldrey to produce a number of jazzy, upbeat songs a year before the competition. This work later served as the foundation for his 2016 debut album, Excuse Me, which received high praise from critics.

Sobral, who has lived in both Portugal and the United States, sings from the heart. Sobral is a musician who follows the music wherever it wants to take him, as opposed to other musicians who prefer rigid techniques.

Sobral studied psychology at school. But as a young adult, his love of music overcame all else, and he relocated to Barcelona’s Taller de Musics. He started working on many music projects at this point, including writing his own music and lyrics.

Chet Baker, an American trumpeter who performed in the middle of the twentieth century, and bossa nova are two major influences on Sobral. He is well-liked throughout South America where sororities frequently play his music due to the Latin vibe of his compositions.

Victor Zamora, Nelson Cascias, and André Sousa Machada, who are all musicians and are a part of the Alma Nuestra band, recently joined Sobral on November 4 for the Marinha Grande Jazz Festival at Casa da Cultura Teatro Stephens in Marihna Grande.
